Power Classes

Although similiar to Dragonball Z's "powerlevels," Power Classes within YYH are a bit different. Each and every person can be divided up into the following levels:

Class "S" is the strongest level, and Class "F" is the weakest. One can be in a high/middle/low range in each Class as well, so I will designate each class as having a + / -

For example, Tuguro Ototo is about a Class B+, where as his brother is about a Class B-, and Hiei is Class B. This is from the time of the Ankoku Bujutsukai (Finals)

When a two power classes appear with a slash in between them, such as in the 4 Sacred Beast Saga with Yusuke having a "C / C+" class, it means that the first class letter is what the person normally is. And the second one indicates the person at FULL strength. Generally characters have reserve even they don't know about until it becomes necessary to bring it out.

NOW, since Classes are EVEN HARDER to figure out than the powerlevels in DBZ, most of these are based upon a rough guess. Which means pretty much any and all of them can be questioned. Still, they are based upon my opinion...if that is valid in any way :p

Also, please note that while a character may have a higher power class, it doesn't mean that person won the fight. Yu Yu Hakusho determines its battles by luck and cleverness, and not just pure strength.
